Marano Lagunare is an old Roman town that flourished under the government of the Patriarchs of Aquileia. It has a rich history and was dominated by many important historic figures.
Between 1420 and 1797, Marano was one of the strongholds of the Republic of Venice. The town’s architecture is testament to the richness of its past. The second part of the excursion is dedicated to visiting Isola delle Conchiglie.
The characteristic of this island is that it is a real natural barrier that marks the border between the lagoon and the sea. Here you will be able to go for a swim and enjoy time on the beach, which is still unspoiled. This excursion is great for both adults and children as it offers the perfect combination of fun and cultural activities. This excursion is available from mid-June till mid-September, from Monday till Friday. It sets off from Darsena Porto Vecchio, in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
