Festa delle Cape” is a traditional festival held in Lignano every year since 1984.
It started as an initiative by local professional fishermen.
Nowadays, it is organised by Lignano Sabbiadoro’s Sportsfisning Association “Al Mare”.
The objective of this traditional event is to promote the different varieties of fish from the Adriatic Sea to both tourists and local residents.
The local specialities on offer maintain the old culinary traditions alive.
The festival is held in Lignano Pineta, in Piazza Marcello d’Oliva, during the first two weekends in March.
Entry is free. All profits are donated to charity.
